T’was in the merry month of June, from our home we started, Left old Eireann’s Isle, to Poland we departed, Hope within our hearts, we can win the trophy, We are all a part of Trappatoni’s army, Get behind the team, hear the Irish scream, C’mon you boys in green, Ireland’s bouncing back again, We have got our Trap, the cat is in the sack, We’ll not forget you Jack, On the rocky road to Poland. One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Irish eyes are smiling, Let your voices ring Trappatoni’s army, Everybody sing. You’ll never beat the Irish x 4 Make your mother proud, inflate your plastic hammer, Bate your bodhrán loud and learn your Polish grammar, Credit Union loan, sold the Opel Corsa, Hired a camper van, picked it up in Warsaw, Been so close before, hopes slammed in the door, Now we’re back for more, we can win the battle, C’mon you boys in green, never have we seen, Such a fearless team, on the rocky road to Poland. One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Irish eyes are smiling, Let your voices ring Trappatoni’s army, Everybody sing. You’ll never beat the Irish x 4 Ireland Abú. We love. Third class recently went on a class trip to the 'Jeanie Johnston Famine Ship'. The trip linked with the topic we have been studying in History which is the Irish Potato Famine. We really enjoyed our dayand found out lots of intereswtinmg facts about thge ship and the people who travelled to Canada and New York on the Jeanie Johnston. Here are some photos of our trip. For more information about the Jeanie Johnston go to http://www.jeaniejohnston.ie/ To finish up our 'Irish Potato Famine' topic we learned this song.
Can you remember the tune we made up to accompany it? Oh, the praties they are small over here, over here Oh, the praties they are small and we dig them in the Fall,And we eat them skin and all over here, over here. Oh, we wish that we were geese night and morn, night and morn Oh, we wish that we were geese and could live our lives in peaceTill the hour of our release, eating corn, eating corn. Oh, we're down into the dust, over here, over here Oh, we're down into the dust, but the Lord in whom we trust, Will repay us crumb and crust over here over here. Our class celebrated St. Patricks day by making various decorations. This video clip was shot by Vida, Eric is narrating and Kyle and Clayton are the artists! It shows how we used the 'bubble paint' technique to decorate our shamrocks. Well done boys! Video will be uploaded soon!
Cleaning up the School.
Each Monday and Friday the pupils in our class clean the rubbish from the school entrance and grounds. 3rd class would like to wish Mr. Murphy best wishes on his retirement. He was an excellent principal and we will miss him. Thanks, Mr. Murphy!
