We decided to create book reports and thought the spaceship template was a fun way to display them. Take a look below. Over the past few weeks, 4th class have been learning about Italy. We decided to create some pictures inspired by the city of Venice. We used oil pastels and experimented making different effects by smudging. Have a look at some of the finished products below - we hope you like them. In Science we have been learning about heating and cooling. Today we investigated the freezing effect that occurs when we combine ice and salt. As part of this experiment we made our own ice-cream - yummy. Over the past few weeks we have all been working really hard with our Drama teacher Aoife on our class musical. The play is called the Trial of Humpty Dumpty and ask's the question "was he pushed or did he fall?" Today we performed the musical infront of our parents - take a look at some of the pictures below. We would all like to say a big thank you to Aoife for all her hard work on this musical :) Today 4th class took a trip to the Odeon Point Village to put our feet up with a glass of coke and some popcorn to watch The Croods. The film was fantastic and we all loved Belt the little monkey. When we got back to class we all wrote up a film review. Take a look at some of them below. Happy Saint Patrick's Day from all in 4th class. Have a look below at the puppets that we made to celebrate this special day. We recycled our old paper lunch bags for the body of our puppets and then added on some arms, legs and hats using extra card. In Science this week we learned all about the force of gravity. We completed an experiment to see how we could slow down the force of gravity by using a parachute. We designed our own parachutes using our lunch bags, string and stones. Take a look at the pictures below.
