This week we have been exploring the art work of Keith Haring, an American pop artist. We love his simple black line designs and vibrant colours.
Keith Haring used symbiotics in his artwork. That means that each drawing had a message to it. It was more than just a colourful cartoon. We created our own symbiotic cartoons using our school motto "Ní neart go cur le chéile" which means "strength in unity" in Gaeilge. We also took inspiration from our school crest (designed by our own teacher!!!) We tried to represent the words Confidence, Excellence, Respect and Tolerance using symbiotics.
