Numeracy

All of my four Maths groups have been very busy learning about place value over the past few weeks.   We are learning why it is important to put the thousands, hundreds, tens and units in the correct column, especially when adding them.
We have also been ensuring we know how to correctly name each of the numbers in the columns.  We have really been improving on these.
We have also focused a lot on our time-tables this month and we have been getting much quicker at saying our tables!   We have been having great fun in class racing eachother, playing games with playing cards and playing games with die in order to practice our tables in lots of different ways.
