One Book, One Community

6th Class were at the closing ceremony of the One Book, One Community project last Thursday. Along with fourteen other local schools we read the book The Blue Horse. It’s all about a traveller named Katie who finds life very hard when her family home is destroyed and they all have to move into a settled community for the first time. We really loved the book. 
The author Marita Conlon-McKenna was at the closing ceremony and we were lucky enough to have our picture taken with her!
