For friendship week (27th to 31st of January), we did lots of activities based on the theme of friendship! We did the secret friend challenge where we picked a friend out of the jar and had to show random acts of kindness throughout the days and keep it a secret. Friendship SongsWe learned the songs "You've got a friend in me" and "Count on me" for music. We sang "You've got a friend in me" in a whole school assembly for parents during pupil of the month and we sang "Count on me" for Reception :) Friendship Recipe WritingWe discussed what friendship is and what a good friend is. Then we wrote our very own 'Friendship Recipes'. Have a look :)

This year we wrote our own nativity play in 3rd Class Room 8. We learned about the Nativity story and wanted to write our own version of the story. We did lots of dancing, singing and drama practice in the run up to Christmas and we had lots of fun! Nativity Characters!Songs"Nazerath" featuring Cristian, Josh and Nadia. Have a look at some of the pictures from our show!Who knew Maths could be fun!? For Maths week, we did lots of fun activities! We wanted to make our Maths experiences fun! Maths Trail Firstly, we went on a Maths shape trail around the school to try and find as many examples of 2D shapes around us! We then worked in pairs to draw the different examples we found and sorted them into categories. Patterns Next we made some patterns with our beads. Look at some of the patterns we made! Maths Games Lastly, we played some Maths board games in groups. Whilst playing these games, we had to use our knowledge of adding, subtracting, multiplying, patterns, number and money! Third class love working together in class! |
